After the release of Tim Burton’s film Alice in Wonderland in 2010, I sought to recreate the Tea Cup Dress that the Mad Hatter makes for Alice.
The skirt of the dress is made with one layer of satin and one layer of tulle. Extra satin was used to make the bow. The bodice is made from 60 yards of ribbon that were sewn together to create the proper pattern. Another 6 yards of ribbon were used to sew the shoes over insoles.
